  3. Caspio

Documented outbound direction. Incoming order transfer was postponed in this project.

The original workflow

The shipper used Caspio and the account manager maintained corresponding shipment information in both systems. The project focused on the fields the shipper needed to see in its own tables.

Mapping and outbound updates

The teams mapped internal references, driver and vehicle information, milestone dates and POD files. The source describes periodic checks for updates and a joint test process.

The scope that was postponed

Incoming orders from Caspio were planned as a separate stage. Warehouse-party involvement and a later ERP change led to postponement. The delivered example should therefore be understood as outbound shipment and POD transfer.

A useful starting point for integration

For a new project, agree record ownership, field mapping, update frequency and error handling. Validate the connection using representative records and clear acceptance checks.
